Suggest Treatment For Chocolate Cyst

Hi, I am 29 and single and I have been advised a laproscopic cystectomy for a chocolate cyst(endometriotic cyst) measuring 3.8 x 3.4 x 3.5 cm..No other treatment /medicines have been prescribed.
Request you to pls advise if a cystectomy is a must or the same is treatable with medication
