Hi, Ive recently had a cold that ive now sort of recovered from. The only problem is that its left me with an irritating cough. Its usually worse at bedtime. I find that im drifitng off to sleep and the cough gets so bad that the tickle in the back of my throat has to be relieved with drinking water constantly which wakes me up a few times during the night. Ive never had asthma and I do smoke. I was just wondering if there is anyway to treat the annoying cough I have?
Dear you may be suffering from viral pharyngitis with bronchitis. Use salt water gargle, avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use tab. Azithromycin 500mg for five days, tab. Moterleukast and levocegrizine at the night for 1week. Use water vapor inhalation. Still symptoms persisten you need to consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel free to ask me.
Take care
