I ve had a dry cough for about four to five years. I don t smoke and I just turned 50. I went to the doctor last week. My doctor took a chest X ray. The lab results came back and I have scarring or pneumonia. Can a person have walking pneumonia for 4 to 5 years? Also, could there be a chance that I have pulmonary fibrosis? Fibrosis is a term used to refer to scarring, so pulmonary fibrosis means scarring in the lungs.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, fibrosis is actually happens when there is history of pulmonary lesion and that is treated and healed then the lesion turns into fibrosis, and this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day
