Suggest Treatment For Chronic Endplate Irregularities, Spinal Fracture And Severe Back Pain
I have been diagnosed with chronic endplate irregularities, acute spinal fracture, multilevel degenerative disc disease, L5-S1 paracentral protrusion coupled with extreme back pain standing more than 5 minutes, right calf pain and random incontinence.
As you have this disc protrusion the symptoms of the radiating pain are expected to trouble. Using a hot water fermentation and lumbar spinal brace will.be good to reduce pain and stabilizing the joints.
Post which once the fracture is healed then Physiotherapy management follows like the therapeutic ultrasound therapy and TENS therapy for pain relief and reduction in Inflammation as well.
Exercise will be followed in the later stages and it will focus on core stability, back strengthening and lower limb as a whole for the flexors and extensor groups.
Most cases do well with physiotherapy but need to continue longer to learn and then at home based exercise prescription is followed.
In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most cases respond well with conservative management.
In a few cases where it is displaced fracture and compromising neurological functions then surgery is advised.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
