Suggest Treatment For Chronic Headache

Just starting happening about 5 weeks ago. Doing a plank at gym and when came from it, I had a sudden headache. Mainly, on the left side. Continue with exercise and it faded. Now, every time and go to gym and start with plank or whereever I an exerting alot of pressure, I just a throbbing headache on the left side. I am breathing thru the exercise and we had elevated me on the planks but its still happening. This is starting to scare me. My doctor said its an exertion headache... I am not sure. It is a little frightening since I have never had it before. Your thoughts

I understand you concern and commend you for taking charge of your health. Based on the symptoms that you have described, it does seem that you have a exertional headache. This happens in some people after exercise.

This is a type of migraine and can be managed with some basic therapy. A migraine is a recurrent type of headache that occurs due to a trigger factor. The trigger factor in your case is exercise.

You might also be doing something before your workout that is causing the migraine. For example, a sugary drink or a pre workout meal can also cause problems.

Another issue can be performing exercises incorrectly and not breathing correctly(exhale in the contraction phase)

Also, try the following to see if they help:
Drink lots of water
Take Paracetamol 500 after the workout if uou have a headache
Sleep properly and
Eat meals at the correct time
