Iam 26 year old, facing chronic pancreatitis for past 9 years. am also controlling my diet strictly, but sill having mild pain at times. Now my CT report shows..Mild diffuse atrophy of pancreas with multiple coarse amorphous calcification head region and within the duct in the body regions with scattered small calcifications body and tail region. Pancreatic duct is dilated measures 2.5mm. Mild hepatomegaly Bulky spleen bilateral small renal calculi. Do i need to do an an immediate ESWL treatment? am i falling into pancreatic cancer?
hii, If there are calcifications in body and tail with dilatation of Pancreatic duct, better consult a gastroenterologist and ask him weather he want to intervene endoscopically ,because you are symptomatic regarding pain, usually he may consider for a stent endoscopically if needed. Hope this infortmation will help you thank you
