Suggest Treatment For Chronic Stye On Eye

Hello... I have had a chronic stye on my left eyelid for almost a year. Has yet to go away completely and some days are better than others. Tried hot compresses. Is there an OTC I can use on it? I really do not want a shot of steroid in my eye lid from my eye doctor. Thanks. Janice Healthy and 52 years old. :)

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
Usually stye will not remain for 1 year. It is probably chalazion.
The treatment options for chalazion are intralesional steroid injections or by incision and curettage.
Since it is there for long time we need to rule out predisposing causes like blepharitis and general conditions like diabetes.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
