Suggest Treatment For Chronic Ulcelarative Colitis

I have ulcelarative colitis for past 6 yrs. it it chronic. And few days back the cal protection was 460. It was told that it is very high. The doctor suggested to use Vegas od. I have a 3 month baby and I fear that it will harm my health as well as his. I also have diabetes since 3 yrs. please help

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). Tab Vegaz-od which contains mesalamine is safe during breastfeeding and it is not known to cause any harm to infant, so continue with vegaz-od.
