Suggest Treatment For Circular Rashes On The Penis
Hello my husband has been getting the circular rashes that vary in size but is mostly size of penny. It has a scabby appearance as well. Any ideas of what it could be? At first he thought I was cheating on him but I don t have the marks and I have been faithful. He then thought maybe we had bed bugs or another type of bug in the house but neither my daughter or I have these rashes. I don t know what it could be
Rashes on the penis commonly occurs due to balanitis (due to poor hygiene), thrush (candidiasis), molluscum contagiosum or scabies. Most of the infections are contagious. Other medical conditions that can cause such manifestations are sexually transmitted diseases like herpes, psoriasis, candidiasis, etc.
You are suggested to get your husband clinically assessed by a GP. Let him get all STD tests done to stay on the safer side. His treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected. He will be treated with oral or intravenous antibiotic/antivirals depending on the severity of the symptoms. Avoid sex for a couple of days till he becomes infection free.
