Suggest Treatment For Closed Hip Dysplasia In A Child
my daughter went thro closed hip displaysia when she was year old. ..in USA she has gone through all the checks properly till now.she is now 4 years till now we had not have any problem ,there the docs said the next check up would be when she is 5 ..we are now in bangalore, i want to know how the pediatric orthopedic in bangalore is advanced to take the further steps
You are good parents to stay on top of this and make sure she has medical follow up as recommended. Is she walking and running normally?
Can she keep up with the other children her age? Since your daughter is doing well, I am certain that her orthopedic examination at 5 years of age will be routine.
Try to have her seen by a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon who has lots of experience caring for infants and young children with congenital hip dysplasia.
The surgeon will do an orthopaedic exam and may order x-rays of her hips and ask you to come again.
In order to have your daughter receive the best care, contact the Orthopedic Department at the nearest University Medical School Hospital and ask if they have a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon in their department.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
