Suggest Treatment For Cold And Chest Congestion

I had a virus or cold in mid January. Symptoms were nasal and chest congestion with a cough. 6 weeks later the cough persists and is worse in the evening or at night with headaches. I ve been told it could be walking pneumonia. Should I see my physician?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you should definitely consult your doctor and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. Chest x ray to rule out lung infection
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out bronchitis.
Lung infection and bronchitis, both are common after viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
And both can cause similar symptoms.
So better to first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
