Hi My 7 month old son has a cold and has had it for 6 days now. He is fine within himself and is still eating and drinking plenty of fluid! However I have checked his temperature and it is showing at 35.2 degrees this week it seems to be around 35-36 degrees is this due to the cold? Should I take him to a gp? Kind regards
thanks for your question. well common cold is viral illness and can produce fever rather than low temperature. kindly confirm if you have taken oral or axillary temperature.if axillary ghen add 1 degree celsius for actual temperature. also if environment temperature is like winters then it may produce readings like 35-36 celsius. if readings continue to bd low kindly give child warm fluids. put warm clothes. if still not controlled tor baby isnot responding well or drowsy then take baby to hospital as so much hypothermia may need investigations.
