Suggest Treatment For Cold

Hello Dr.,

I have got a baby of 2 months old. He is suffering from cold, nose block. Due to which he its finding difficulty in breathing. He cries a lot due to breathing problem. I gave him t,mimic n used naso clear. Please tel me what shouldI do to make him feel better.

Hello. Thank you for your question. Oral cold and cough medications are not recommended for children of this age. You can use saline nose drops followed by suction of the nostrils with a rubber or plastic bulb syringe. A cool mist vaporizer or humidifier in the room can also help.
