I am a 41 yr old woman....I have had 2 ASD repairs from a congenital birth defect. Once at age 21 and my last one was done 8 yrs ago. I have felt fine since however I had a routine EKG done today and it shows that I have Anterior Septal ischemia. Could this be from my ASD repair? My primary doctor described it as a heart disease which scares me. Does that mean the heart tissue is dying? Is this something that should be addressed quickly?
hi...welcome to hcm.. Your symptoms are suggestive Coronary artery disease.it may not be related your ASD.you should get coronary angiogram immediately and start on anti platelet drugs immediately.consult your cardiologist for expert management
