Suggest Treatment For Conjunctivitis Folliculitis In My Right Eye
Hi I was diagnosed with conjunctival folliculitus of my right eye after being splashed in eye at hospital with a patient. Diarrhea and urine. My lower inner eyelid is inflammed and swollen and my eye itself is red and itchy. Cultures were taken for chlamydia and bacteria. Came back negative. Now symptoms back 5 months later. Antibiotic euefropd tried. But still did not get better. Pleaded help. I am worried I m ay risk for blindness. Yet doc said that my lower inner lid is coveted with follicles and swollen. Wants to try to get more cultures for mess etco try to. Should I go to an eye surgeon for a 2nd opournion
Dear you have to take Doxycycline and Azithromycin or Moxifloxacine and gatifloxacine is effective for Follicular conjunctivitis. Saline wash is useful, culture of conjunctival secretions.
