I had a speck taken out of the underpart of the upper lid after cutting some oleander branches. However, I have a persistent conjunctivitis. Two wood specks were taken out but still have a conjunctivitis. Changed contact lense, case, took moxiflox drops, tried to flush out with saline and then an overthe counter Refresh for red eyes . Evaluated by two ophthomologists without answer. The eye is uncomfortable but tolerable much worse in the am and less uncomfortable when the lense is in. Any conjecture?
Kindly discontinue your contact lenses till the eye becomes quiet or for atleast a period of 4 weeks. sometimes there can be fine tiny hair like particles of the wood which can be missed. You need thorough re examination with fluorescein dye staining to see exact location of the FB.
