Suggest Treatment For Constant Vomiting Due To Nerve Damage To The Stomach

My husband was told he had nerve damage to his stomach. In the last three weeks we have been to the ER twelve times . He vomits and vomits (he retches) and in lots of pain. This actually has been going on for TWENTY years! The doctors also told him he had a redundant colon and it was three times larger than it should of been. They removed 17 inches and he still has 12 inches;that was two months ago. Hes on lots of meds, but like a light switch(not always) after having BM he starts to vomit. We were told no cure and he will be on meds the rest of his life. Im sorry but going to the ER to get shots of Adavan and morphine is not the answer when this happens. p[ease tell me there is some other form of protocol when he gets that sick. oh his blood pressure will go up to 235/140 and higher. during the operation after opening him they had to stop and give him some drip meds for his BP. The doctor said its not stress because you are not stressed when you are under. Im at wits end I don t know what to do. You have no idea. please tell me there is answer to this... hes lots 65 pounds too

By reveiwing your husband's history it looks to be a chronic problem...if I quantify
1..on and off vomiting for the last 20 years
2..2 months back colon surgery(partial colectomy)
3...hypertension
from the history u have mentioned,I assume the current problem is frequent vomiting episodes...I m sure your doctor definitely would have prescribed some meds after surgery like some antibiotics?these vomiting could be becaude of these...I would like to know the findings of upper GI endoscopy if its done and biopsy report also
As you mentioned that nerve to stomach is damaged...how you came to know about it,I mean how your doctor came to know about it?currently I think I m going to know more details for diagnosis about your problem like:
any imaging done like ultrasound or MRI abdomen and upper Gi endoscopy+biopsy report
but for symptomatic relief there is no harm in taking prokinetics like domeperidone 20 min.before every meal and short course of corticosteroids like predisolone 3+3 for 3 days and then garadually taper it off like 2+2 then 1+1 for 3 days each...
regarding your query about increase blood pressure u have memtioned a very high reading...u should have to monitor blood pressure very closely coz it could have disastrous consequences....for bp I wouldnot recomend any med until I get bp readings of atleast 5 to 6 days to be sure....l would be looking forward for your followup reply thanks!
