General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

An anal fissure can be treated with surgery. Meanwhile, some advices that I can give to you are:
-Using over-the-counter stool softeners.
-Drinking more fluids.
-Taking fiber supplements and eating more fibrous foods, such as raw fruits and vegetables.
-Taking warm baths called sitz baths to relax the anal muscles, relieve irritation, and increase blood flow to the anorectal area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
