Hi, So today I applied the jelly on both sides of my nostrils because I had just gotten over a cold and the side were dry. About 3 minutes later I got a runny nose, then about 20 minutes after that and I had to go to the bathroom and I pooped a semi-diarrhea poo and it painful to push out, like menstrual cramp painful. Do you think I am allergic to it or this is just a coincidence that it happened after I used the jelly?
You may go for routine blood count, electrolytes and stool examination with ultrasound abdomen if needed.
Generally, this diarrhea are self limiting and requires no definitive treatment but in case they persists longer then one may need to find out the actual cause.
Treatment is mainly depend on the underlying cause but you may require antibiotics(ofloxacin with metronidazole) if infective, prebiotics and probiotics, antispasmodics, antacids, antiinflammatories etc.
You consult your family physician for further advise immediately.
