Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Loss Of Appetite

I am suffering from indigestion problems (constipation, loss of appetite, gas formation in the abdomen) for the last 25 years. whenever problems become acute i consult doctor and after taking medicines the problems somewhat get mitigated. However it continues in some form or other. In lab report nothing adverse appears.

hi.
thank for posting at HCM.

Constipation definition varies from person-to-person. Stools may be too hard or too small, difficult to pass, or infrequent (less than three times per week). Some people with constipation may feel a sense that the bowels are not empty

advice:
- stop any medication being used for constipation for a week
- thrice daily , take two tea spoon (or one big spoon) isphagula husk with 200 to 300 mL water
- increase warm water( atleast 8 glass/day) intake
- do not drink water during and after meals
- eat small meals (rich in fiber)
- eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear "
- avoid COLD milk and and AVOID junk food(NO burger , pizza-even if its veg.) altogether
- mix few drops of "lemon juice" in warm water. Drink on empty stomach, early in the morning, to aid in bowel movement
- avoid beverages / alcohol/ soft drinks
- do some exercise (push-ups / squats etc) early in the morning
- avoid carbonated drinks
- take 2-3 spoon edible virgin olive oil in the morning

Further advice fro bloating:

- OTC Simethicone tablets and probiotics may be used in combination to combat bloating.
- Chew food well and try not to talk while chewing food as it causes more air to enters the stomach and may lead to bloating.
- Avoid drinking water in the middle and immediately after meals.
- Have small meals at regular intervals and add plain of yogurt to your meals.
- Avoid eating broccoli, brussels sprouts and cabbage, Baked beans.
- Itopride medication may be used to enhance gastric motility(you may need prescription from your local physician for this).

Wish you good and sound health.
