Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Yellow Mucus Rectal Discharge

I have a history of bowel troubles e.g. I only open my bowels once a week. I have medullary sponge kidney which may be effecting my problem but I really don t know. Each time I go to the toilet I have this yellow mucus that comes from my back passage. This mucus occurs at least 3 times a day. It is not just when I wipe but also when I pass wind. Any ideas and should I be worried?
