Thank you for posting your query.

history of chronic constipation.
however, more history would have been helpful.
your weight? height? do you suffer from any other disease?

as you have a pretty long history of constipation, your advised to fix an appointment and visit a gastroenetrologist at the earliest.
you maybe advised to undergo colonoscopy.

meanwhile,
advice:
-warm water intake
- eat small meals
-eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear "
- avoid COLD milk and yogurt and AVOID junk food(NO burger , pizza) altogether
- drink strong coffee (once only) on empty stomach to aid in bowel movement
- avoid beverages / alcohol/ soft drinks
- include fiber rich food in your diet
- OTC lactulose drug maybe used also
- dulcolax tablets may also be used

hope the bowel movement would be normal.
any further questions are welcomed.
