Suggest Treatment For Continual Mycoplasma Pneumoniae
Continual microplasm pnumonia symptoms. Almost 2 years now. Sputum always comes back with negative report. I know better. We lack the sophistication to grow cultures in this state. Need a schematic of proper diagnostic approach to eliminating this malady.
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your problem and situation. In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done 1. CT thorax 2. Bronchoscopy and BAL (Bronchoalveolar Lavage) analysis. Mycoplasma pneumonia is treatable infection. So I think you need to identify the causative organism and start antibiotics according to sensitivity report. CT gives much superior idea about lung infection then chest x ray. Bronchoscopy and BAL analysis gives much yield and positive result on culture then sputum report. And it is highly sterile so chances of contamination are less. So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
