Suggest Treatment For Continuous Pain In The Leg Near The Ankle

my daughter is having continous pain in the rear of her leg near the ankle area which we are considering a strained achilles tendon. Could this be something else? There are no bruises, there doesn t appear to be any swelling. We have been icing it for a week without any improvements. Can you advise on an appropriate course of action

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. It can be due to some minor contusions or thin hair line fractures. As of now you can consult an orthopedician and get evaluated, she might require an MRI scan also.

Hope I have answered your query.
