Suggest Treatment For Cough And Difficulty In Breathing

I have had a cough now for a few months off and on. After about 2 months I finally went to the doctor after my insurance has kicked in and the doctor had told me it was related to my asthma. She gave me albutirol and then a Z pack. I used my neb treatments for about a week and finished with the Z pack and the cough went away for about 2 to 3 weeks. In the time frame I had a bad sore throat off and on. It tended to be at night more then anything. Now this week the cough has come back with just as much phlegm as before. I get coughing spells and when that happens I use my inhaler that I have with me at all times, but it only works for a short time. I have a hard time believing that it is all asthma related since I haven't had that much trouble with my asthma for a few years now. It doesn't seam as if the nebs help. When i get these coughing spells I do find it a little harder to breath. Should I go back to the Doc.
