Hello and welcome to HCM,
A history of smoking for 15 years, passage of mucus and tightness of chest is suggestive of bronchitis.
Bronchitis is a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease wherein there is constriction of airways and difficulty in breathing.
Quitting of smoking is most important.
Treatment of bronchitis primarily includes use of bronchodilators which dilate airways and relieve the obstruction in the airways.
You need to consult your physician and preferably pulmonologist for clinical assessment and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
