I have a bad cough mostly at night following a cold. I am struggling to get rid of mucus. I have been advised to steam inhale but have a sore throat and other advise suggests caution with steam inhalation as this may make the sore throat worse (scald). What do you suggest?
Treatment for cough and sore throat is one antibiotic like tab Azithromycin 500 mg once daily or tab Ampoxin 500 mg thrice daily after meals along with some decongestant like tab wikoryl or tab diominic-dca thrice daily after meals with tab rantac or tab pantop twice daily empty stomach at-least 1 hour before taking any meal. For cough, you can have syrup respital-p or syrup grilinctus-BM 2 tsf three times daily after meals. Apart from these medicines, you have to do salt water gargles or steam inhalation as it is also very beneficial as far as sore throat is concerned.
