uhm. Hi, I ve been having this cough for about a month and i cough like really loud with allot of phlegm and i am vomiting allot too but just the phlegm. sometimes i feel like vomiting and it wont come out other times i also feel like burping but can t it like gets stuck and comes out like a bit later. my doctor thought it was an allergy but it wasn t so then they thought it was an acid reflex and they gave me omeprazole ti take everyday 30 mins before eating an sm calcium anti acid to take after a meal every 4 hours it kind of worked but then it came back and my phlegm taste really salty and is really thick now and I am really concerned because right now my stomach kind of hurts like on one spot it really burns
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you are having infection in your lungs. So I advice you to get done chest x ray first. If this is normal than get done pulmonary function test(PFT) To rule out bronchitis. And GERD(Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease) can worsen bronchitis. So better control of GERD is needed to control your chest symptoms. You should start broad spectrum antibiotic like fluoroquinolone and oral bronchodilators. For GERD try to follow these steps. 1. Avoid hot and spicy food, avoid stress and anxiety. 2. Avoid large meals. 3. Take omeprazole with domeperidone combination. 4. Go for walk after meals.
