Hi folks. I m coughing up a small bit of clear phlegm speckled grey after exercise. I m 42 and quit smoking over a decade ago. I m asthmatic and use a reliever most of the time but a couple of times a year I need to use the steroid inhaler/tablets. What with the grey speckled phlegm only after exercise?
Hi. Thanks for your question. The reason for Gray colored phlegm particularly after exercises indicates nothing specific, in fact your exercises instigates cleaning of the respiratory system. Noted also your history of quitting smoking and asthma. Asthma is body's response to an allergic agents called allergens. You have to take treatment as and whenever required. Keep away from the allergies and you will be fine.
