Suggest Treatment For Cracked Ribs After A Bad Fall

Hello, I m Paul Bode, 86, Monroe LA...My wife Ruth, 84, Has fallen twice in the last two weeks just stepping out onto our porch. (She s going to be a LOT more careful from now on!) After the first one they took X Rays and said she had a couple slightly cracked ribs and gave her Tramadol HCL 50mg, 4 times a day. This time they said she didn t have any additional damage, but she s miserable, can hardly get out of bed. Can you suggest any other treatment? Or something else we can do for her?

After going through your query I concluded that your wife got fracture ribs due to fall. Doctor has given her tramadol 50 mg 4 times a day . It is sufficient treatment as far as analgesic is concerned. It will take nearly 2-3 weeks to get pain relief. Besides this you are advised to take rest and breathing excercises will be helpful.Vitamin B and C with be helpful in recovery. You can discuss with your Doctor about it.
