My 9 year old son came home with a long scratch on his upper arm from a rusty clothesline that he was trying to use as monkey bars. He has had all his immunizations up to date and isn t due for his next tetanus booster until he is 11 I believe. Am I ok to just wash it and apply Neosporin or should he be looked at?
Yes, you should keep the wound clean. If his Tetanusimmunization status is up to date, then it should not be a problem.
