Question : 2014 another
MRI now shows
cyst has grown. Suggest treatment for cyst in brain and how serious is this
Answer : First We need to do an Minimally Invasive Aspiration under Stereotaxy or Neuronavigation and do Analysis of the Cyst Fluid
This is a relatively minor procedure which can be done under Local Anaesthesia. Based on the analysis of the fluid, we will have to decide further course of management
If the Analysis reveals only CSF or some being pathology, we can wait and watch. This is likely to happen in most cases
In the very rare chance that the analysis reveals a malignancy, we may have to proceed further
Hope you found the answer helpful.
