Suggest Treatment For Damaged Ear Drum Due To An Injury

hello doctor...i m piyush singhal from dehradun, India..15 days ago someone slapped me from behing and unfortunatey it was my ear he slapped upon..due to dis a hole is created inside my ear..i have consulted a doctor..he is saying that 99% i will b alright by medicines only..rest 1% he is not sure..so what should i do now..please suggest me something..my age is 22 yrs..height is 162 cms..weight is 63 kgs

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that you have got a perforated ear drum secondary to traumatic injury to the ear..
When the hole is small it mostly get healed by antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines, painkillers and antibiotic ear drops and and nasal decongestants..
But in case if the hole is large or that does not heal by medication than surgical grafting has to be done to reform the ear drum..
As of now you should wait and watch and take the medications as advised to you..
But in case if the healing does not take place consult an ENT Surgeon and get evaluated and he can guide you according to the clinical examination..
