Suggest Treatment For Damaged Vocal Cord

So I went to a ear nose throat specialist today and he said my vocal cords were damaged someway bc of smoking. What would that be called? I ve lost my voice completely for 3 weeks and it took a month to get close to normal but I can t do certain things like scream whoo and so forth

Nothing to worry. Through clinical examination (like indirect laryngoscopy , palpation of neck etc) and fibro-optic laryngoscopy needed. If no mass lesion which can impair voice was suspected then conservative management is sufficient. Voice rest, steam inhalation, cessation of smoking etc are useful. If problem persisted , then you have to visit a speech therapist for speech therapy.
