deep laceration in the groin (junction of the anterior thigh and hip regions). On physical examination, the physician notes that Patient C is unable to extend her knee, suggesting paralysis of the anterior thigh muscles. Sensation is absent over the anterior thigh, medial crus, and medial foot. No additional motor or sensory deficits are noted
