Suggest Treatment For Deep Scrapes Cuts After Injury
Today my husband punched an old rusty wooden fence ...his hand slip so he got deep scrapes cuts from the wood ..he has 20 scrapes on his hand all look black..black looking scrapes mixed with blood iI think its the woods dirt but I have no idea...can u get an infection like that and what are some treatment please

Hi.
As per your case history of traumatic rash, my treatment advice is -
1. Avoid applying soap or antiseptic lotion like Dettol on that part.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
