Suggest Treatment For Degenerated Lumbar Spinal Bone
My lumber spinal bone is degenerated. I found out almost 4yrs ago, when I was 24. Pain is excruciating in winter and constant stinging sensation 24/7. It was hard in the beginning but now used to it. Is it possible to treat it. What are the implications if I get pregnant. Will I be able to cope with it.
Although this is a less likely possibility because you are a young lady, have your doctors run any bloodwork on you for what is called an HLA B27 antigen in your blood? There is an associated condition with this antigen being positive called Ankylosing spondylitis which does affect younger individuals usually in the lumbar region.
Unfortunately, treatment is fully supportive. No way to stop the process by surgery or medication at this point. Getting pregnant is going to place a lot of pressure on the lower back in the later stages of the pregnancy so you may wish to find an exercise trainer or physical therapist familiar with pregnant women and back pain issues that can start putting on a regimen of appropriate exercises to strengthen back muscles as well as teach them how to increase their stamina under long periods of engagement time. Aquatherapy may be found to be a more comfortable for of treatment for this type of condition, especially what we refer to as aqua Jogging in a pool which is typically done in place and is very good for low back muscle pain and strengthening.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
