Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My question is for my son, he does not have a computer. His name is Cody and he has had anxiety for approximately 8 years now. His physician has recently changed his prescriptions to Buspirone and Bupropion. His depression seems to be getting worse since his medication was changed. I am really worried about him and I don t know who to contact to get help for him. Please give me some advice! He is very depressed and doesn t know how to handle this.
I went through your details. Tackling depression as early as possible may mean that you can address problems quickly and avoid symptoms becoming worse. Psychological treatments (talking therapies) help people change negative patterns of thinking and sort out relationship difficulties. They improve coping skills so people feel more able to deal with life’s stresses and conflicts, and help to prevent relapse once the person is well again.
I went through your details. Anxiety and depression are mental disorders. Anxiety and depression at this young age are usually due to problems related to schooling, parenting and education circumstances. Adapting to the situation is the key to successful passage through. I suggest you to consult a psychologist for psychotherapy, meditation techniques. Anxiety and depression is usually treated with a combination of exercise, psychotherapy, meditation and medicines. Please motivate your son and appreciate him whenever possible. He should be alright within 6 months.
