Hello thanks for asking from HCM
I can understand your concern. Diabetes itself increases the risk of
depression. Poor sugar control is a known factor in depressive deterioration. Excessive sleepiness, poor social interaction,
tiredness, inability to cry are symptoms of depression only. I would advise you to-
-First of all get your sugar levels checked. HbA1c levels give an idea about long term control of sugar levels. If levels come abnormal visit your doctor for diabetes control.
- Start taking
Vitamin B12, E supplements. It is common in diabetic to develop muscle pains, cramps, tiredness due to deficient nutrients.
- Drugs like
Pregabalin can help to improve pain symptoms and will also relieve anxiety.
- Visit your
psychiatrist for treatment of depression if symptoms persist even after life style changes.
Thanks, hope this helps you.
