I have a new psychiatrist who put me on latuda seroquel, lithium, effexor which doesn t work. ritalin for 15 years which helps ADD and depression and this dr. put me on xanax.I hate it. Im very upset, he said I have to choose between seroqel orlatuda He said they are sister drugs and very expesive
I can understand your concern. You are 60 and have bipolar disorder. You remain upset and doctors have put you on Latuda, Lithium carbonate, Venlafaxine and Seroquel. Latuda and Seroquel belongs to same group of second generation antipsychotic drugs. Over all both drugs have almost equal efficacy and good safety profile. But as per my opinion Seroquel or Quetiapine will be better drug in controlling mood symptoms and in stabilisation of mood.
Visit your psychiatrist for prescription of drugs.
Thanks
