Hi,
Depression is common in the elderly when they suffer from chronic diseases.
Since she is suffering from diabetes and tuberculosis from a long time and now with development of tuberculosis bone, she is bound to go to depression.
Reinforcement, family support and counseling is required. Medications should be last resort and psychiatrist consultation is needed for it.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
