Suggest Treatment For Deviated Septum And Sinus Infection
Hi there, I hope someone can help me. I have a deviated septum, and because of that I get a lot of sinus infections or sinus headaches. Well last week I got got a sinus headache and had a lot of pressure. I was a bit stuffy as well. Now all of a sudden I have a low buzzing sound in my right ear. Can this be a ear infection from my sinuses?
this is because of Eustachian tube (ET) dysfunction. Eustachian tube is a tube which connects nasopharynx and middle ear and ventilates middle ear. Because of deviated nasal septum your sinus opening and ET is getting blocked. this ET dysfunction causing ear symptoms. for time being you start with steam inhalation TDS three to four times a day with vapocaps. before taking steam instill 2 drops of xylometazoline in your nose and wait for five mins.for a permanent cure you will have to undergo septal surgery (septoplasty) and undergo one x ray PNS to look for extent of sinus disease. u can also do valsalva when there is no acute symptom.you can go to ent specialist afterwards to get the surgery done. there will be no scar as every thing can be done endoscopically.
