The obvious answer is what you said yourself, a possible cardiac issue. However I would agree with your cardiologist, it should not be too significant. Still the only way to confirm it is by
angiography. This gives you the option of coronary angiography or ct angiography. I would suggest the former cause in case the ct angiography is inconclusive, former will have to be done.
There may be a psychological effect as well. I mean you started having symptoms on the day after the
stress test. Did you have the symptoms before? I doubt that. Therefore a psychological effect cannot be ruled out.
However I always say Better safe than sorry. So I suggest angiography.
