Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Vomiting

felt sick after having dinner last night. went to bed. woke up about an hour later. lots of diarrhoea - about 20 trips to the bathroom over 3hrs - completely liquid no gas. then i start vomiting (i started drinking water due to the diarrhoea) and continue vomiting after stomach is empty and i am just dry reaching. it finally eases up - ive called in sick today - it feels like i ve been kicked in the stomach. i have no energy. i cant even sleep. may be food poisoning? only thing it could be is a tomato we used half of and put back in the fridge in glad wrap - used a few days later. my partner had the same dinner as me but not the tomato - he used a new one. will i be ok without having to see a doctor or? thanks for your help!

Hello,

This can be an intestine infection most likely from the tomato.

Primary guidelines are:
- Consume more liquids in sessions
- Intake of anti-emetic as ondansetron, PPI as omeprazole, and probiotic with lacto bacillus help better recovery
- Dietary preference to soft, light diet

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
