Hi,

Blood in stool is a matter of concern. At first I would advise you for an stool test for occult blood, ova, cyst or protozoa. Here I would like further information to help you better. Have you ever had similar blood in stool in past? Are you having pain and irritation in perianal region.

Meanwhile have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, dietary fibers supplements. You should take lots of fluids including ORS, lemon water, and fruit juices. If it doesn't improve in a day or two than you should see a doctor for physical examination and an endoscopy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein,
General Surgeon
