Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea During Pregnancy
My wife is suffering from fever from the past 4 days, temperature was 99degrees. Today diarrhea started, from morning she had 7 times. It was loose till 5 now it was not loose. Our doctor suggested metacin tablet for fever. She is in her 20th week of pregnancy. Which medicines have to be taken for diarrhea.

Many a times medicines for fever / dietary changes /water pollution/ virus cause such type of diarrhoea.
Mostly it recovers within 5 days. Till then give her lot of boiled water with sugar & salt ( ORT) to avoid dehydration ,let her take full rest rest & light/easy to digest food.Usually there is no need of extra precaution in pregnancy except- ,
She needs doctor's help in case of dehydration/ no relief in 5 days time/ has uterine cramps.
Anti diarrhoeals are given in case of bacterial/amoebic cause-by treating doctor.
