Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Fever And Muscle Weakness

I am 50 year old female. For the past week, I have been experiencing feverish, cold clammy, abdominal cramping, diarrhea x 4 days now. numbness in face. Every joint has pain is horrible and muscle weakness. Tired. Last week i felt like i had a kidney infection and took meds for 5 days. I have stopped taking all meds and supplements to see if that was the problem. i just returned from florida within the past 2 weeks. I have checked myself for ticks but didn t find one. what do you think? thanks

Hi,

I understand your concern.

Being feverish, and having cold clammy, abdominal cramping with diarrhea are suggesting acute gastroenteritis. It is common when changing living places.

Kidney infection you had last week can be another possible explanation.
Meds you've used to treat infection include antibiotics among the others. They can alter your intestinal flora. This might have led to diarrhea.

Take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora. Increase fluids intake with oral rehydration salts to replace the lost electrolytes. Take tasectan or pepto bismol for diarrhea.
Have light meal. BRAT (banana, rice, apple sauce, toast) diet can help.

If still no improvement, seek medical help.
Wish fast recovery.
