my mother had collapsed today, low blood pressure, diareaha , vomiting and blood in her stool/urine. taken to the hospital....my father recently had C-dif......they are 90 yrs old. live in assisted living community. THEY wanted to say it was the flu. we called the doctor to be advised

Dear- thanks for using our system . Your mother might be suffering from flu which is giving her diarrhea and vomit. These two conditions will take fluids from her and will drop blood pressure, for which is very important to hydrate her with intravenous fluids. However , it is complicated with bleeding , that will drop the volume of fluid in her body and can create more problems givig her risk of cardiogenic shock. It is important that you brought her to the hospital where she will have a closer monitoring of her condition. She might need IV antibiotics too or anti-flu treatment if that is the cause of her symptoms.
