General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Need to meet the urologist and get ultrasound abdomen and pelvis (with pre and post void urine) and urine routine and serum PSA LEVELS.

With age, the prostate increase in size and condition called BPH(BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA) DEVELOPS WHICH CAUSE DIFFICULTY IN PASSING URINE.

As age advances chances of the development of cancer in the prostate also increase presenting as obstruction or bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nataraj Naidu R, General Surgeon
