Suggest Treatment For Diffuse Inhomegeneity In The Thyroid
I received the ultrasound report on my thyroid scan that showed diffuse inhomegeneity in the thyroid. I have 3 nodules. Only one is 1.0 cm. I have a history of parathyroid adenoma 3 years ago. I have all the symptoms of Hyperthyroidism. Is the solution removal of thyrois and drug therapy?
Thyroid nodule of 1 cm and more should should undergo FNAC. Hyperthyroidism is managed not just according to the symptoms, but as per the biochemical evidence too. Parathyroid adenoma is something associated with hypercalcemia. Did you undergo surgery for that?. Hyperthyroidism is best managed with drugs or radio iodine ablation.
